Met Sam for his last brek. Had a lovely Nutella and banana Thai pancake 🤤

Me and Jordy booked onto a boat tour so hard to rush our goodbyes.

Ran to the pier where we had another breakfast included 😏

10am boat time. First stop, monkey beach. Sassy little things were swimming and trying to get on the boats to find food. All kicking off!

Went snorkelling and saw some cool fish and coral tings. Then snorkelled at shark point; couldn’t find any shark but saw loads of finding nemo type characters.

Next up, bamboo island. Had an insta shoot before the next snorkel sesh and lunch on the boat.

Went to another monkey beach, more beach, less monkey. Scary sea urchin beneath.

On to Viking Cave. Apparently something to do with the Chinese Mafia so entry is prohibited. Mysterious.

Phi phi lagoon had low tide so we couldn’t go in ☹️

Last stop, Maya Bay, where the film ‘the beach’ was filmed. You’re no longer allowed to go on it and it got too busy. Watched the sunset from the boat at Maya Bay before heading back to the main island.

Had salmon for din then watched the Incredibles 2 at a bar. Fell asleep during the film so came back to bed at 10pm. I’m so wild.

Went for a morning stroll to get myself a mango shake as I am the epitome of health. Did a bit of tanning and swimming before meeting up with my latest pals.

It rain, we eat.

Off to a bar where they bore me with PlayStation until I complain enough.

Took a walk on a cute path to Long Beach and got an amazing choc milkshake. It rain again. Got soaked on the long walk back so got some snacks and watched wolf of Wall Street to hide out.

Ventured out to get a burg, chilled for a bit before going for a game of pool. Sammy’s last night ☹️

Morning work out walking up the viewpoint. Sweating buckets but absolute scenes. Also saw a monkey eating a coconut.

Walked down the other side to Phak Nom Bay. Was about a 5 year trek through the the jungle but when I finally made it to the beach it was probs worth it.

Went for a dip to cool down then a spot of tanning before starting the climb back to ma hostel.

Must be pool party time. Break for food and make some frens. Back to the pool and make an enemy cos loose a bet but thought I won so refused to buy a drink. Oops.

Frens invite me to their place for prinks after. Gal makes me drink rum. Not good.

Stroll on the beach and eat pizza before retiring to bed. Getting too old for this.

Breakfast included with my box room was toast (that I had to toast myself) and a tiny plate of fruit.

Tried to complain about the crappy room and get money back but she said nah.

Walked 45 minutes to Rassada Pier. Got there and they said 1000 baht return, I’d seen it in the hostel for 800 with a mini bus here 😒 told him I’d give him 800 then he showed me to some other guy who took me (and my giant bag) on his motorbike to a different office back down the road I’d just walked down, where they gave me a ticket for 800.

12:30pm made it onto the ferry. Phi Phi here I come.

2:30pm arrive in Phi Phi and walk to my hostel. Pulling your bag through the sand is not easy.

Had a mare as I locked my stuff away and then the padlock wouldn’t open. Somehow the changed the code by itself. Sat down to try the 1000 possibilities. Luckily it didn’t take long, although doesn’t give great confidence about the security of it.

Went for a dip in the sea. Then went to explore some more of the island.

Got a cheeky beer and watched the sun set over the boats.

Back to the hostel for Penang Cuz and partay time. Skipping, limbo and musical chairs. No chance of going to bed before 2am here as the music is super crazy loud.

Last day at the elephant park and our final task is poo picking 🙄

Got to go say goodbye to Mario and frens afterwards. Sad sad.

Back to shower and pack to leave our pooey lil hut.

Leave the park after lunch to go back to Chiang Mai and chill with Creg at Mad Monk for a few hours before my flight.

It rain 😒

Ventured out to the market to get me some indie shoes. Went to the wrong market but Creg got food, then we found the correct one with the beautiful shoes. Mission complete.

Got a Grab to the airport. Had a mare at bag drop as I seem to have acquired 2kg of stuff. Had to take out my laundry bag. Managed to stuff it in my rucksack but now have my water bottle and shoes tied onto the outside.

2 hour wait for ma flight.

10:30pm off to Phuket. Get another Grab the other end. Arrive at my hostel at 1:30am and she says my room is gone but she’ll give me another. Takes me across the road to a different building and shows me a mattress in a tiny room. With no sheets. Thank the lord I’m only here a few hours. Most of which are taken up by her going off to find sheets 🙄

She finally returns and makes the bed but forgot the towel. Off she goes again. Gone 2am I can finally go to bed 😩😴

Morning task is ele food. Peeling banans, washing and throwing watermelons, unloading trucks. Moved 4 tonnes of bananas and 4 tonnes of watermelon 😰

Post lunch is a group photo. Afterwards I can go see Mario and pals, might be the last time 😭

4:30pm we went down to the river to see the herd coming back to bed. Lek and Darrick were both there basically part of the herd. Most amazing people ever. Little baby one was holding Darrick’s hand again and Lek was just sat on the floor in the middle of them right underneath an elephant.

Another baby that wasn’t part of the herd escaped from its enclosure to join it. It’s Mahout was running after it trying to get it back to bed 😂

Dinner was amazing. BBQ plus mango with sticky rice, banana pancakes, all the best stuff ever 🤤 ate it whilst watching a performance by students from a local school, v young.

Back on poo duty this morning.

Room finally got cleaned, how long will it stay poo free for 🤔

Afternoon job is ‘enrichment’; hiding food in ellie enclosures for them to find at dinner time.

2pm Lek’s husband took us for a walk. Told us some more fun facts. They can communicate with each other from 3km away and can detect seismic activity 1000km away.

Missed the dog walking slot and saw someone walking Mario on our way to see the elephants bathing in the river. She wondered where I’d gone 😏

Saw a whole herd of phants go in the river then they all came out towards us, super close. Walked with them back to their enclosures where we fed them.

One of the baby’s holds Darrick’s hand in her trunk 🙊🙊🙊😍😍😍

Went to go see Mario quickly before din but I was too late 🙁

Was supposed to be a mahout band performance after din but they cancelled for some reason 🙄

Already poo back on my bed.

Packed up for room cleaning day, excited for no more poo in my bed. Find out it’s been postponed to tomorrow as they don’t have enough pillow cases.

First task is bloody weeding 😒 manual labour is so not me. Two hours later it’s chill time.

Go to play with Mario but have to play with other dogs before they’ll let me see him. Saw a dog fight #scared. Get me to Mario now pls.

Found out his mum was a stray and had four puppies, they found them all in a temple looking super skinny so saved them. Two pups died 🙁 and his mum and bro have moved to America (Luigi and Yoshi 😏). I love him.

Post lunch task was ‘clean up the park’; picking up all the old bamboo leaves the phants hadn’t eaten.

Afterwards I went back to Mazzo and pals. Might just sleep in their cage with them 😍

Chilled on the skywalk for a bit.

After din was a Thai cultural dance by women with crazy long finger nails. My Bollywood is way better tbh.

They got people to join in at the end, was an absolute shambles.

After brek we went for and ‘elephant walk’. Showed us round the elephants and told us each of their stories.

A lot have broken legs from logging, or a bad foot from stepping on a land mine. Some have gone blind from all the spotlights and camera flashes in the circus.

Most have scars round their ankles from where they were tied up and the rope would cut into their flesh.

A few got saved from the wild after they got caught in a trap.

Some still have to be kept separate as they’re aggressive and still crazy from how they were treated before.

Just across the other side of the river there is a different camp where you can see people riding elephants 😠

After lunch was ‘elephant kitchen’, first up throwing bananas down a production line into storage. Then peeling corn before we could feed the Ellie’s 😊😊😊 places banans right in their trunk 😌

Went back for some more dog walking and got to walk 4 month old Mario, the cutest ever 😍 unfort he’s already been adopted 💔

After din was a Thai culture lesson where they told us about the royal family, monks, dress, food etc

Had a cockroach in my bed 🤢

Brek at 7am with elephants strolling around next to us 😌

8am start work for the day. First task; elephant poo. An hour and a half later we have cleared all poo from the enclosures. Get an hour to chill before lunch. Starvin.

Afternoons task is cleaning and refilling the water tanks. Afterwards we went to walk some dogs. First one had a raw bumhole and second was a cone boi with eye issues. Where’s the floofs at?

4:30pm a talk from the owner of the park, Lek, and another brutal film.

She’s been saving Ellie’s for over 20 years by buying them off the bad guys. They come here and are mentally scarred and walk round in circles like a crazy person so it takes ages to make them normal again.

The baddies would tie them up by all four feet and trunk as some of them try to commit su by treading on their own trunk or biting it v hard 😥

After din was movie night, joined the jungle book halfway through.

Found literal poo in my bed 🤢
