Left Wanaka via ‘puzzling world’, waited outside with the free puzzles whilst the others went in the maze and illusion rooms.

Stopped at a v cool fruit market on the journey and made the most of the taster area 😏

Got to Queenstown and went to pay for Sunday’s catapult. Saw people bungying off the bridge. Scary stuff.

Arrived at the hostel and was told there was a raffle to win skydives and diving etc in Oz. Came back down and apparently I’d won. Turns out it was all a scheme and I ended up sitting with the travel agent gal for like two hours whilst she planned the whole of the east coast for me and then tried to get me to book it. Apparently I’d won $50 off scuba diving but had to book 2 grands worth of stuff 😒

Finally got away and went for some beers by the lake in the sunny sunshine.

7pm let the bar crawl begin. Started with halloumi skewers in the first bar. 4 bars later and without spending a penny I want my bed.

7:30am left Franz Josef. Went to lake Matheson where the water is completely still so you can see a perfect reflection of mount cook and mount Tasman. Was about to leave on the bus when we found out they were releasing a load of kiwis into the forest 🙊 watched them do a Maori ceremony and bless the kiwi birds. Actually got to see them up close during daylight when they should be a sleeping 😍. They then took them up in helicopters to release them further into the forest as the lil cuties can’t fly. Fell in love.

Stopped at a beach called ship creek and had our lunch surrounded by sand flies.

Arrived in Wanaka at 5pm. Went for a hike up mount iron by myself as the others were too lazy. Went back via the waterfront and supermarkedo to get myself a tuna salad. Health.

Got our free drink in the bar before beddy byes.

Had a long overdue lay in then went to the shop to get lunch/din stuff. Made omelette and found out my skydive was cancelled 🙁

Got the shuttle bus up to the glacier and did a walk to see it. Pretty cool but certainly no Iceland. Got back to the bus 2 mins before it was due to leave and it had already gone. Managed to get a lift back from an Alaskan dude.

Burgers for din then a few drinky poos. Some posh dickhead accidentally spilt his drink on Gen so she decided to throw the rest of it in his face 😳 don’t think I’ve ever felt so awkward in my life. Must be bed time.

Had pancakes and toast and muesli for brek before leaving lake mahanipua for Franz Josef. It rain.

2pm arrived at rainforest retreat, our home for two nights. Went on a walk to the gold mine tunnels. Saw glow worms again and walked ages through a cave, pretty cool. Got rained on on the way back.

Made curry for din but had sauce from a tin so was pretty awful. $3 meal though, can’t complain. Went to the bar for a bit but bed was calling me.

9am left Westport to go to Lake Mahinapua. Stopped off at cape foulwind and did a lil walk along the coast past a lighthouse and a fur seal colony 😍 got a choc orange ice cream before getting back on the bus.

Next stop, pancake rocks and blowholes. $20 for pancakes just cos we’re at pancake rocks. Nah m8.

Arrived at lake mahinapua, took a stroll down to the lake while the others carved Maori green stones.

Lovely veg salad for din before the fancy dress party. Opposite gender on holiday. I look far too much like a man. Not enough to win the competition though 🙁

11:30am left Kaiteriteri for Westport. Stopped at a Nelson’s lake for some mad mad views. Lake had eels in but i still jumped in for the gram. Absolutely bloody freezing.

5pm arrived at Westport. Did a HIIT in the field opposite the hostel so that I could come back and eat pizza.

Made maself avo and Tom and scrambled egg for brek 👌🏼

Got the water taxi to Abel Tasman National Park. Saw some fur seals on the way.

Got off and did a four hour walk through the National Park with some mad views. Back on the boat further up to return to our lodge. Saw a lil tiny breed of penguin on the way back.

Din and chills in the eve.

A whole three hours sleep before having to get up to get the ferry across to the South Island. G would not have enjoyed the crossing.

Arrived in Abel Tasman at 6pm. Went for a stroll on the beach. Got stuck on the way back as the tide came in and created a stream. Had to take my jeans off on the beach to wade across.

Had salmon and peppers and spinach for din cos getting fat. (Then Maltesers). Watched peep show with the gang before bedtime.

Met the bois at Te Papa national museum. Had coffee and cookie before educating ourselves on war and tings.

Met Santa in the supermarket and had Camembert and bread for lunch before climbing mount Victoria for some mad views.

Came back down and had to wait for Dan and Robin to do their washing before we could have a pie and prinks at Creg’s.

Crazy sticky floor in the club broke my fave flip flops so had to go bare feet and got chucked out after about 2 hours. Bought some super glue on the way home to try and fix them 🤞🏼

Had a sauna sesh before leaving River Valley for Wellington.

Stopped for a crab filled subway on the journey.

6:30pm arrived in Wellington. Met Creg and dropped our bags at his house before getting $5 dominoes and playing free pool. Cutie gave his bed up for me and Gen.
